"The Hotel is clean and well maintained by the hard working, attentive staff. The beds are comfortable and the AC works. Wifi was weak in our room, sometimes as low as 6, and you have to reconnect. But strong in the yard @ 100-600+mbp. Great location in a small, vibrant surf town. I'd recommend Hotel Zelen. It's a solid, value option."
"No bed side lights, only 1 plug-in, in our 2 bedroom. No mini-fridge in rooms or common kitchen. No shelves or hooks in showers, which is inconvenient, although they do provide shampoo and body soap in dispensers on the wall. El Tunco quiet time is 1:30am, and it gets busy and loud on weekends! Hotel has a similiar quiet policy of 1am and allows guests to use pool until then as well. Very unusual. Imho, that's a bad policy. Keep the party in town and the Hotel quiet for guests. 11pm quiet and 10pm pool times are pretty typical."

"Close proximity to the boardwalk, pubs, restaurants, surf board shop and assorted village shopping. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The wifi was decent and A/C worked well. The concierge was amicable and helpful. Zelen accommodated a late night check-in due to a late flight arrival. El Tunco was safe and secure with an adequate police presence."
