Els Lodges a Solitaire

"We very much enjoyed our stay here. Very comfortable spacious rooms with your own terrace and also a great roof terrace with fantastic views, (there is a bed on the terrace which they will make up for you if you want to sleep there). The parking is right by your door. There is a lovely pool area to relax by after climbing 'Big Daddy" sand dune! It takes around 45 minutes from here to get to the main entrance of the National Park. The staff are first class whilst the food was very good with buffet style one night and a la carte on the other. Thank you to the chefs for providing very good gluten free food. We also very much enjoyed the scorpion and star gazing walk. There are lots of warthogs around the hotel, make sure you are there for their feeding late afternoon. We would happily return."

"the food!!!.... delicious dinner and nice breakfast....happy staff ..lizzy is lovely, the young men waiting on customers are great . the room was massive, cookies, milk etc. ..such a great welcome."

"I thought the staff were incredibly helpful. There wasn't anything Anna wouldn't have done to make our overnight stay comfortable. She went over and above to ensure all guests were well looked after. The lodge was in a remote part of Solitaire, it was very quite and peaceful. There was a waterhole which was used by Waterhogs a nice treat. There was a stunning sun set."

"We were not aware that the lodge was 5 km from the main road and 6 km from Solitaire centre. This wasn't a problem it just wasn't clear on booking.com and there were no signs when we turned off the main road."

"The lodge is beautifully made, clean, the staff is friendly, staying here was the right decision. The food is plentiful and delicious. My children enjoyed the pools and watching the wild animals that came to the lodge."

"The location and the sunrise drive exceeded our expectations. The sunrise went on forever and our guide was excellent. Why we were the only two on the drive I have no idea…"

"We had to sit inside for dinner and were seated at a table next to a huge mobile air conditioner. A waitress moved it slightly so it didn’t blow directly over us but a waiter kept moving it back. The air was so strong it kept blowing our water bottle over. A bit of sensitivity from the staff would have been good"

"Cases separades a 1 km del Namib Naukluft Lodge que es on hi ha la zona comuna, recepció, restaurant, etc. El sopar a l'aire lliure va estar molt bé i és molt interessant agafar-lo ja que no hi ha cap poble a prop. Tot i això considero que la ubicació és molt bona, amb vistes del desert. Hi ha un waterhole just davant el camp on s'hi acosten alguns animals (oryx, zebra, estruç, springbok...) de nit i matinada. A 1 hora amb cotxe fins a Sesriem."
