"Its 6 blocks away from old town. Very clean nice rooms, they give plenty of blankets as its cold in the room. They bring your breakfast to your little table in your room. looks like they have a small patio in the back with some exercise equipment."

"Nobody spoke English, When I asked for towels they brought a floor matt. took away the trash liner and didn't put a new one in. owned me change for cash 2 days later. Cash only no credit card"

"Great place close to Historical Center, great price, communicative and pleasant staff, room cleaned daily, change of towels and the rest. We had the King Suite overlooking the street. Can be a bit noisy in the mornings, but that just means you have to get up and experience the city. The room is very big and tall and the bathroom small. Big comfy bed. 24h reception Overall a good experience."

"I was really pleasantly surprised. My room was spacious, had a view over a busy square and the hotel ist very centrally located. Basically, within walking distance from the main bus station (terminal terrestre) and the airport could be reached by tram (3 or 4 stops for 1 USD). There is no Uber in Cuenca but taxis usually used the meter and are quite inexpensive. For the price ... I paid a bit less than 40 USD for three nights for a private room with inside bathroom. There is no breakfast option but there are plenty of places nearby. Staff was extremely friendly and if one is looking for a good budget option, the Hotel Norte is a good choice."

"Not really a complaint, but just so you know ... the hot water in the shower takes a while but then it was one of the best showers I had in Ecuador ... very good pressure."

"Poor lighting in bathroom - couldnt see to put my contact lenses in! Not a big issue though. Breakfast was in a courtyard with an open roof - i am sure it would be beautiful in the summer but a little chilly when we were there."

"I left too early for breakfast so had no idea what it may have been like. Everything was cool especially Walter who was as friendly and as helpful as it is possible for a hotel manager to get. He helped me stash my motorcycle in the underground carpark and was more than willing to rise early to help me get on my way. Great location within walking distance of the historic centre. On the main road but the tram and car noise didn't bother me. Great value for the money."
