Hotel Norte

"I was really pleasantly surprised. My room was spacious, had a view over a busy square and the hotel ist very centrally located. Basically, within walking distance from the main bus station (terminal terrestre) and the airport could be reached by tram (3 or 4 stops for 1 USD). There is no Uber in Cuenca but taxis usually used the meter and are quite inexpensive. For the price ... I paid a bit less than 40 USD for three nights for a private room with inside bathroom. There is no breakfast option but there are plenty of places nearby. Staff was extremely friendly and if one is looking for a good budget option, the Hotel Norte is a good choice."

"Not really a complaint, but just so you know ... the hot water in the shower takes a while but then it was one of the best showers I had in Ecuador ... very good pressure."
