Hotel Vezia

"Beautiful and unique design like a 50s American Motel. Very fun to discover the different decorations. They picked a theme and really committed to it, creating a very unique look. Good breakfast and restaurant. Very friendly staff. Parking available on site. We stayed a night each for a longer trip to Southern Italy (so we did use it as a motel), and it was perfect for that. Close to the highway, too. Very convenient for a stayover, plus fun to stay at overall. Will come again if we do another trip along a similar route."

"Great fun, quirky decor in 1950s style with very friendly, helpful staff. Good restaurant on site, all very good value for money for the area. Close to the motorway for a one night stop but plenty to see in the area for a longer stay. Dog friendly ."

"Stairs down to the old garage could maybe be blocked off or have a stairgate at the top?"

"The hotel is excellent, decorated in a 1950s style, with period furniture, room design, and amenities. Although not in the center of Lugano, it's about a 10-minute bus ride from the hotel. It's quick, easy, and free, as the hotel provides free public transportation vouchers during your stay. The staff is also very friendly, and I'll definitely stay at this hotel if I return to Lugano."

"Not my usual stay but exceptional value for money and excellent staff. We booked the small double. It was small but perfectly adequate. Staff were lovely, breakfast great, good value and great to have free travel too. I really would recommend."

Suburban, but with easy access to public transport. - next door to supermarket - 1950s themed design - good breakfast, but always same... for 3 days. - restaurant on site - nice swimming pool, but the water a bit too cold - air conditioning in room - Excellent restaurant at 300 m... Osteria Riva (reservation recommended) - free parking - good and comfortable bed"

"- don't take ecomomy room, as VERY low ceilings... Not good for chlostrophobic people - no fridge in the more expensive family rooms - check out time is written 10 am, which I find a bit too early"

"Comfy, small room in a convenient location near the autoroute if you need to rest for a night during a long trip. Nicely decorated lobby and reception. We did not have the time to check the pool or breakfast."

"Room is quite small and there is no AC. This did not bother us as we stayed only for a few hours but maybe it would be a bit uncomfortable on a longer stay. Also, even though they mention free parking the number of positions is not adequate for the number of cars."

"The room was very hot at night. We had a portable aircon unit, but the hose had to be put outside the window and too noisy to have on all might. There were no instructions on how to use the air con unit."
