Our cosy complex hoteler is located in the car-free zone in the centre of Appenzell in eastern Switzerland. We offer comfortable rooms, including 9 typical Appenzeller rooms decorated with traditional wall paintings, a menjador serving Swiss cuisine and quiet seminar rooms. The complex hoteler is ideal for small groups and individual travellers and is also a very good starting point for hikers.

"This hotel is an absolute gem! We had a charming Appenzeller style room, with bed canopy and hand painted features, looking on to the cobblestoned pedestrian street and colourful buildings. Breakfast was excellent- a generous selection of local cheese and meat, freshly.baked breads and eggs. Highly recommend staying 3 nights, as you receive a card with free access to local cable cars and museums."

"This hotel is located in the old town of Appenzell. It’s a short level stroll from the train station. My bed was very comfortable & the bedroom had traditional paintings & features which added to the charm. I found the staff to be welcoming & helpful. The breakfast was delicious & a great start to the day. I was really, really happy that they were able to provide some extra gluten free products for me as I am a coeliac. I stayed two nights here & thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The property is exactly as described on the website."
