"Amazing place! Right on the beach in a perfect setting, simple and very clean. You could go for a quick dip in the sea then relax on the patio after and observe some animals in the natural environment. Shehan and his family made us feel very welcome and we enjoyed trying out the different Sri Lankan meals , listening to local stories and playing carrom! Thank you Shehan!"

"Really nice and welcoming host who explains with passion about local life. Deliciously cooked meal for breakfast and dinner. Perfekt location, directly on the beach. I had my sunrise walk one morning and the fishermen invited me to help pulling out their boat from the sea and they showed me what they cought during the night. A good place to get in touch with locals. Truly recommend!"

"We spent two wonderful weeks at Amaranthe Beach Cabanas. At the entrance is the motto "Come as guest, leave as friend". These are absolutely true words. Shehan's hospitality is endless. We felt like visiting friends not only at Shehan, but also in the surrounding bars. The accommodation is simple, but what do you need to stay on such a beautiful beach and try to live here in the rhythm of life of local fishermen? Shehan, thank you again and again. We would love to come back here next year!!"

"Shehan and his family were incredible hosts. They went above and beyond to make our stay truly memorable. The rooms and communal areas were very clean and the location is second to none. The breakfast is sensational home cooking, and I wished I could stay longer. He showed us around his temple and made us feel like family. Shehan is a hardworking and truly kind man and I wish him and his family all the best for the future. I will have to visit again for another Carom match!"

It was the most special stay we had in Sri Lanka !!!The location is beautiful, right by a quiet beach, and falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean was unforgettable. The owner and his family were incredibly kind, warm and welcoming, and made us feel at home from the first moment. The breakfasts were delicious. We also had the chance to take part in a traditional ritual, which made this stay truly unique. Highly recommended — 11 out of 10."

"The position by the beach is really good, although for me as I have a artificial knee and being in my 70s going down the stairs to the beach was difficult but not impossible. Once on the beach it was really fantastic. The breakfast which I had was Sri Lankan ,and very good with an ample amount. Aways brought to the table by the most charming and friendly person who happens to be the owner. For anyone who is a surfer I would think this place would make a fantastic place to stay."

"Perfect family getaway at Padmi Villa! We travelled to Weligama, Sri Lanka with our teenager in February 2025 and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The second floor was exclusively for our family, and the space was perfect. The location is fantastic, and the host family were invaluable in helping us discover the best local spots. They were incredibly responsive and always willing to help with any questions. The villa is well-equipped, and the kitchen made it easy to prepare our own meals.
