"We absolutely loved our stay. The owners and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Every morning we had a different Sri Lankan breakfast, which was delicious. They can also cook lunch/dinner upon request. The room was spacious and clean, with cleaning every 3 days. The whole place feels like a small jungle – squirrels, mongooses, lizards, and even one morning a family of monkeys “visited” us and woke us up with their noise. Geckos are everywhere, but they are harmless and cute. They arranged a yoga session for us in the garden, and also organised our Yala safari tour. The location is great – 5 minutes walk to Weligama beach, with plenty of cafés and restaurants around. We stayed 7+1 nights with a 3-year-old and felt very welcome. At check-out we even had an emotional goodbye and they gave a little present to our child. True Sri Lankan hospitality 💛"
"The water pressure was a bit weak, but this seems to be normal across Sri Lanka, so not a big issue. And the internet was not strong enough for remote working. However, there are good co-working places very close to the villa, so it was not a big problem."

"We stayed two days at the villa, and it was a really good experience. The room was very spacious and, most importantly, very clean. The owner was very helpful, and the lady who served us was kind and lovely. Breakfast was tasty, and there’s a kitchen area where you can cook if needed — they provide all the appliances. The location is perfect, just a short walk to the beach and town. The service was very nice and welcoming, and the place felt completely safe for girls. Highly recommended!"

"What a lovely stay at Lawrence Villa! The rooms were very generous in size and loved the added little kitchenette. Very comfortable beds and good breakfast. Accommodation is very well located in a quiet spot but not too far from lots of good eating and surf schools. The host Lawrence has lots of good tips about things to do locally. All in all, a fantastic stay!"

"Perfect family getaway at Padmi Villa! We travelled to Weligama, Sri Lanka with our teenager in February 2025 and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The second floor was exclusively for our family, and the space was perfect. The location is fantastic, and the host family were invaluable in helping us discover the best local spots. They were incredibly responsive and always willing to help with any questions. The villa is well-equipped, and the kitchen made it easy to prepare our own meals. We had the rest of breakfast for lunch and even dinner sometimes The villa located 6 min to the sea - across the railway and road, but it's almost in the forest. Animals and birds came to the yard - including monkeys and peacocks - absolutely incredible experience. Monkeys were not aggressive - but very nice. Hosts have a kind of small feeder for squirrels and monkeys The turtle beach is walking distance. The best sunsets are there The beach cafes with best views - also walking distance Pool with jacuzzi is the best option for the midday rest with huge plate of fruits from the breakfast Very very clean rooms with everything you need"
