"Very helpfull and friendly staff. The appartment is simple, but had all we needed."

The tap at the kitchen is likking while open. Somw floor tales must be fixed. One of the light bulbs needs replacement.

"We stayed in the private apartment a few blocks from La Comarca Hostel. It has everything you need - comfy double bed, an en suite with large shower, and a well equipped little kitchen with a stove, toaster, kettle. The whole vibe was very stylish, modern and clean. All the staff were lovely!! I said it was my partners birthday before arrival and they had put up balloons and little treats for us! Although we didn’t stay in the main hostel, it had a warm vibe when we dropped by and we were allowed to leave our bikes down the side of the hostel for a few nights while hiking. Overall, highly recommend!"

"For the price I got a little studio apartment with plenty of room. The place is a bit spread out and falls down a hillside. Great views and a good breakfast. Staff welcoming and fun. Needed a taxi to get to the town but cheap and easy to arrange"

The wifi was weak .... I had to sit on my balcony and hope for the best or go to the main area.

"Kelly and his family are amazing hosts. We feel in family! :-) Kelly is so helpful and talkative, always able to give suggestions and help finding activities to do, contacts, etc. His son, Junior, went with us to many places and activities and we fell him like a younger brother! :-) All the family made us feel welcome and at "home far from home". Installations are simple, but in a nice location, in the countryside, quite and friendly place, not far from Goroka center/easy bus connections but we have everything we needed, even to cook our meals. If you want a simple and family place to stay, with someone who will help you around, this is the place! If once I go back PNG and Goroka, I'll stay here again! :-) Thanks Kelly, Junior and family! Hope to see you again!"

It's normal to have light and water cuts. But it's common in the region/general problem and not from the place.

"The hostel is in the heart of Antwerp, it’s walkable distance from anywhere. We got access to our room very early which was a nice surprise. Our beds were comfortable and the shared spaces were alright. I liked the decor. Our stay came with a free breakfast, which was absolutely lovely. As fas as hostels go, this was a very pleasant experience."

My only gripe was again the location. Being that the hostel is in the very center, there was a lot of noise outside until the early hours of the morning. Again, not the hostel’s fault, just something to keep in mind.

"It was in a great location with a spectacular view of the city at night. Other guests were very welcoming, great place to make friends as a solo traveler. Very cute common space and clean bedding."

"I had a truly wonderful stay here. The front desk staff was incredibly nice, patient, and easy to talk to, he made the whole experience even better. The hotel has everything you would need, including a hair dryer. The bathroom and shower were especially great, very clean and comfortable. I was also really touched by the sign at the entrance of the bathroom clearly stating “Female Toilet, males not allowed.” It shows real respect for women and made me feel very safe. Little details like this genuinely warm your heart. I honestly don’t understand why this hotel has such a low rating on Booking. If the full score is 10, I would definitely give it a 10. Thank you again, I truly loved my stay here."

"This place is simply fabulous - clean, quiet, cozy, everything works, in a great location near night market, mall, fast food etc, easily reachable by bus, yet, some rooms face forest. It's self check-in, all information is provided timely and clearly, communication is brilliant and any questions promptly answered. One of the best place to stay ever."

There is nothing not to like. But, as you need a code to enter your room, its probably not a good idea to rush to the toilet in the middle of the night, and forgetting phone with the code in the room 😊 (didn't happen, but could 🤣). Love it here...

My room was situated by the lake edge and was such a wonderful experience listening just to the waves crushing in the night and awaking to a wonderful sunrise. Truly bliss. Thought powered by solar, my shower was reasonably hot and lighting though dim was constant. I still recommend taking a torch for the sometimes power cuts. Be sure to arrange a boat trip….. you won’t regret it. Eagle bird, cliff jumping and snorkelling. One might even be able to visit the Rastafarian community near by."

Wifi was only available in reception area and to reach room I had to negotiate a steep set of stairs where railings were sometimes missing. Could be potentially dangerous and not recommended if one suffers from knee problems. Whilst orders were excellent the service could be vastly improved. Orders took for ever to arrive and were often cold. Management, if reading, please sort this out!
