"We booked the whole house because my friends and I wanted to have our own space. We only found out the host was also staying in the house after we booked. We could cancel for free but decided to still go with it. When we arrived, we were disappointed because it did not meet our expectations. It was not very clean and a little bit dusty. The beds were okay but moths kept coming into the living room. The place overall might be passable for solo travelers looking for a relatively cheap place to just sleep in and only planning to stay for a short time but for us, it was not what we were expecting. If you're just looking for any hostel to sleep in you can consider it but note that the host lives with you and the house common areas is not particularly clean or tidy (it's not horribly dirty either)"

"Bit of a walk from kii-Tanabe station but a lovely host with dorm like bedrooms, and a place to rest your head before taking on a walk to the mountains the next day. Very close quarters but a great budget option."
