L'Lloc D'estada Tamaro, que abans era una residència patrícia construïda el segle XVIII, està implantat a la riba del llac Maggiore, al centre d'Ascona. S'ofereix cuina suïssa i mediterrània de qualitat a sota d'unes voltes antigues o a un pati cobert amb elegància. Podreu prendre una copa al jardí, que és altament tranquil, o a la terrassa, mentre gaudiu de la panorama panoràmica sobre el llac. Les estades tenen bany privat, minibar i TV. "Em van canviar d'habitació a una amb aire condicionat perquè la primera, que tenia unes vistes al llac d'allò més bonic, era insuportable per la calor. En Suïssa, aguaita!"

"Our time at the Tomaro Hotel was fantastic! The interiors are exquisitely designed; they are cosy, fashionable, and inviting. It may not seem like much from the outside, but once you're inside, you'll be pleasantly surprised! Each and every employee was amiable, accommodating, and sincerely willing to help. Our stay felt truly unique because of their hospitality. It's in a great location, close to the library and surrounded by lots of great restaurants. Everything became so easy because of it. I had a great time at the hotel and overall. When I return, I will most certainly stay here. Tomaro Hotel, thank you!"
"One small thing to note: the swimming pool is not inside the hotel itself but just a short 8 minutes walk away. However, this wasn’t really a drawback for us."

"A charming hotel in a superb location. Querky decor with soacious roons. The staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely views across the lake. The porter service was a bonus, and an explanation o how to upload and enter the pedestrian area was clear. Breakfast was lovely, again with fantastic views. We are at the attached restaurant and the food was really good."

"Friendly staff, beautiful house with history, wonderful view from the window, small but clean and cozy room. Since the hotel is in a pedestrian area, upon request a transfer was provided from and to the parking lot, where you can leave your car for 9 euros per day. There are many cafes and restaurants nearby, a supermarket is a 10-minute walk away. It would be great if there was a kettle and coffee maker in the room. In general, normal value for money."
