"A dream home for WWI military history and for the Menin Gate. Large, luxury accommodation for families with just everything you would need for a perfect stay. We have found a diamond and will return again and again. Seeing the Menin Gate when you open your curtains was unreal!"
"Nothing not to like."

"Benoit met us at the property, gave us a fantastic tour of the house and all the memorabilia and photos showing it and the Menin Gates history. He also showed us some fantastic places to visit during our stay. The location is incredible, waking up to the sun rising over the Menin Gate, an incredible venue with a brilliant host. We would love to return."

"The perfect base location from which to explore all places of interest in the Ypres salient. Located 50 metres from the Menin Gate and 200 metres from the centres many restaurants and bars. You could not wish for a better location in that the property is located some 50 metres from the Menin gate and 150 metres from the centre of Ypres with it’s numerous Restaurants and Bars.. This is an ideal location to use as a base to explore the many other battlefields of The Great War. We visited so many locations during our 2 day stay including The New Irish Farm Cemetary, Tyne Cot Cemetary, Hill 62, Hill 60 and the German Langemark Cemetery and the Christmas truce location. Our host, Ben, the Chairman of the Last Post Committee was an absolute mine of information and his knowledge and information made our visit so memorable and enjoyable."
"There is nothing to dislike."
"Benoit met us at the property on arrival. He gave a very comprehensive tour of the property, explained how things worked and about the history of the house, which was amazing. Parking was easy in the surrounding area,as guided by Benoit, and we had no issues in this regard. You could not improve on the view from the house of the Menin Gate in all its majesty. Perfectly positioned for all that Ypres offers in terms of history and restaurants, but very quiet location (at night particularly). This house worked perfectly for us as two families, as we rented the whole property. 2 separate apartments within one house. We were 4 adults and one 16 year old and the space allowed us to eat and socialise together, but have our own space and privacy as separate families as required and at night."
"This is not a dislike ! The only extra we would have liked was a washing machine as we had a 6 night stay, but we knew before arrival so could plan in advance !"
"2nd time at the property, excellent location for all that Ypres has to offer."

"Amazing Location. Some very interesting war memorabilia. A very comfortable and cosy house considering the size. Ben the owner was great and very knowledgeable, he shared his knowledge with enthusiasm which was much appreciated. Another big point scorer for us was Ben was very kind and let us park our four motorcycles safely at his home."
"Ummmmmmm 🤔"
"This was our second visit. Location is exceptional.. This is such a unique property, it is quirky, homely, interesting as are the proprietors. You couldn't ask for nicer, knowledgeable people, we felt quite privileged when invited to be guests of "Ben" to attend the Last Post ceremony at the Menin Gate. Thank you for everything, we will return."

"We had the large bedroom at the front of the property which was very spacious and well appointed. Delicious breakfast with all fresh produce and many homemade by the owner. Fab, quiet location just outside town which has many places to eat in. Owner is very attentive and even moved his car so we could park a large van. Highly recommend to all and if we are ever back in the area would will be staying again. Claire x"
