"Lovely gardens around the hotel, and the beach is beautiful. The staff was excellent and very helpful, though the level of English skills was varying. We had a lovely stay with our family. Good dive center at the hotel."

"During à la carte evenings the food was very good, but the buffet was not as good quality. But it is possible to eat at other hotels or local restaurants nearby."

"The gardens were well kept, the staff were very attentive and the food was ok. Bicycles were available for free and the reef walk was a pleasant break. The room was very pleasant. For those who like to dive there is dive centre attached to the hotel."

"There was an abundance of crows that became very annoying, taking food when they could and generally being very noisy. They have decimated the population of other birds and have caused problems for the hotel staff who try to keep them at bay. The sun loungers on the beach did not recline. If you use a credit card here they charge 5%."

"First class staff. Exceptionally polite, efficient and reacted immediately to anything asked of them. Great location on the beach - with some hawkers who were kept a reasonable distance away from the sunbeds, so wasn't an issue. We had an all inclusive package and the food was very good for all three main meals. Drinks (including alcohol) were available as part of the package all day. Enormous room and ensuite facilities to match. The four poster with a mosquito net was exceptionally comfortable with high end linen. Lovely landscaped grounds with a swimming pool, though with the adjacent beach, it was little used."

"Minor point - with the spacious accommodation, another chair and a larger dressing table would have been desirable. We didn't enjoy the Stone Town tour organised by the hotel. The guide was generally disinterested - and beware if taken to "Maria's" a fixed price souvenir shop which was horrendously over-priced. Not much else to see in the immediate vicinity - but your here to relax! Nothing in the above should deter you from staying in this gorgeous place."

"The staff were amazing, especially Grace and Sofia in the restaurants. All the staff were so helpful and accommodating and nothing was ever a problem, every morning we were warmly greeted by everyone. The rooms were very comfortable and lovely. The bathrooms were nice and the outdoor showers and a nice addition. The beach access was perfect and the pool was great. Even the gardens around the property were lovely. The whole vibe of the property was perfect."
