"The breakfast was cooked to order. I believe that we were the only guests staying there at the time, though it was low-season. The location is excellent near Forodhani Park."

"This hotel is situated very close to the sea front, near many of the historical landmarks of Stone Town. It is handsomely fitted out with traditional furniture. The staff are friendly. There was initially a problem with the booking in that we clearly asked for a twin room but were offered a double. Nonetheless, the manager at reception was able to rectify this very quickly."
"The roof terrace where breakfast is served could do with a little care as it has seen better days. That said the views from the top are interesting. TV wasn’t working, but this is often the case in Stone Town hotels, and wasn’t a real issue."

"The hotel is located in a very calm area of stone town, just 2 minutes walking to Forodhani. The place was clean, spacious room, AC, comfortable beds and simple but nice breakfast. The hotel team is excellent. The receptionist Mr. Jumuah was very helpful all the time. If you want to go to any place in the island or do a tour, just talk to him and he will organize and provide a nice/affordable driver."
"I liked everything. The hotel is simple and has everything that one may need. Some people complains that the elevator is not operational, but the stairs are not bad. Looking for elevator in historic buildings like that is bizarre"
