There is a club downstairs and it is a bit loud during the night but windows are very soundproof so we had very good sleep. Location is also great, pretty close to every major point in the city."

"Simple, spotlessly clean. All the basics which I needed. Located in a lovely area close to city centre. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was cleaned and tidied every day. Very close to a beautiful panoramic viewing point, close to a tram line and funicular if you want to avoid climbing steep steps en route."

"Loved the location and the room was EXACTLY like the photos, I was delighted to be here and would definitely stay here again. the place was very clean and tidy and the manager very friendly and helpful. The perfect choice for people travelling on a budget and want to explore the city!"

"I travelled very light because I was only here for a few days... but if you have lots of luggage our bad knees then be warned about the steep steps in the hostal! Also the barrio Alto is a hilly walk up from the centre.... so I know that some people would struggle.... but if you have the money to spend on a tug tug then there are plenty around the city!"

"I really enjoyed my stay here. It's a charming old building in a great area, close to the metro. The room was clean and perfectly furnished using older furniture (not broken, but not boring Ikea stuff), which gave it a nice atmosphere. Personally, once windows were closed, I had no issue with the noise coming from outside, but that might be due to the odd window situation in my room."

"Wi-Fi was a bit wonky. We were surprised with the lack of possibility of card payment. There is an odd window situation in the room I was in - the bathroom window opened into an internal space outside, but the one in my room opened into another room - a common space. It did have bars and a blind but it was a bit unnerving. When the windows were open in the common area, there was a nice draft in my room, but once closed, it got stuffy. The modern fan helped, but it must get worse in the middle of the summer. Leaving windows open would be difficult with all the noise from the club outside."

"In realtà sono sottigliezze, ho trovato un po' scomoda la ripidità delle scale per raggiungere la camera all'ultimo piano,la rumorosità notturna proveniente dai locali del quartiere e dalla cappa aspiratore di un ristorante vicino, con annessi odori. Ma essendo ottobre è bastato chiudere la finestra."
