Isolation Bay House is a 15-minute drive from Lake Tekapo and a 3-hour drive from Christchurch. This luxurious lakefront house features a fully equipped kitchen and indoor/outdoor dining. All rooms have lake and mountain views, 2 have an en suite bathroom, and 1 has a balneari urbà bath. There are also laundry facilities. Nearby activities include horse riding, fishing and hiking.

"The location is incredible. What a view! The house is so spacious and to sit and enjoy those magnificent windows overlooking the mountains and lake was very special. We were even lucky the sky cleared and we could see the beautiful stars!"

"It’s just an insanely exceptional location, and an absolutely fantastic house. Steve the owner was available throughout to answer any question or provide local support."
"Not much. The garage had some defective vehicle in it that leaked and created a bad smell next to the nicest room, but Steve the owner fixed that problem in a couple of hours. We just used the rooms on the other side of the house. And the house is so incredible that we didn’t really consider this a problem."
"The place is spacious and no stairs, which is ideal for elderly. Also, the view is stunning and hot tube is perfect for star gazing!"

"Isolation Bay on Lake Tekapo was our favourite stop on our 12 day tour of the South Island, NZ. The stunning location, comfortable accommodations and lovely host Steve, all exceeded our expectations. Steve even went to the trouble of making a ramp for the single step access to the home for my daughter’s wheelchair. The hot tub over looking the lake at sun rise and sunset were divine."

"There wasn't a dishcloth or scouring pad in the kitchen - made it hard to clean casserole dishes properly or even wipe benches down. They said a cot would be provided but there wasn't one there so we slept our 14 month old on a mattress on the floor and he kept rolling off so not ideal."
"We were the only one in the entire area. It was paradise. The hot tub and the beach full of beautiful sculptured pebbles and the night sky were all absolutely spectacular. The house has floor to ceiling window’s and overlooks Lake Tekapo. It is by far the best experience I’ve had."
