"The resort is very well maintained and functions really well and the premises are really beautiful. The gastronomic experience is unbelievably good, all restaurants are delicious and breakfast is amazing. Cocktails are great (specially the classical Mexican like Margaritas, Mezcalitas, Palomas) the ones created in the resort are average. Especially call out to Victor from La Laguna who prepared a delicious Guacamoles and made some great recommendations and was always very kind, as well as Luis from the breakfast, and Fabian Olmo who support us with booking the restaurant"

"First of all there is a lack of transparency regarding resort fees which are quite significant and ideally they should be included I the pricing on booking.com or at least by the check in you should be briefed regarding those fees not by the checked out. Another point was the kids club, while the facilities are really nice, there are only activities for kids between 5-11y and the family time is just one hour every day between 2-3pm which in my case overlapped with nap time, other than that younger kids could not access the kids club, which was rather unfair. Either building an arra for families or expanding the family time for 2-3 h a day would solve it. There are no strict rules or rather rules not enforced in terms of reserving pool beds, specially on the pool near the beach people would leave their stuff for 1-2h or even more without allowing the guests that wanted the chairs to use it. Once all chairs were booked but onlly 2 people were using the Pool beds and 4 people were having breakfast. That is very disrespectful towards others guests"

Almost makes you feel bad asking…"

"There should not be an additional charge for things like booking tennis courts / some of the kids club activities. That seems excessive when the price is already very high. Many of the staff were excellent, but some seemed not to 100% know what they were doing, or were not always customer-centric in their approach. I would contrast this with Ikos (where we stayed last summer) and the staff there were noticeably highly trained and great at putting the customer first. We had to wait >1hr for food on a few occasions - this was because the hotel takes a VERY cautious approach to any allergies (my daughter is gluten intolerant). They seemed to treat this as if it were a dangerous peanut allergy. I appreciated the caution up front, but when we queried it with staff and tried to explain it wasn't a serious allergy, but more of a mild issue, they didn't seem to fully understand. Many of the waiters also did not really understand what gluten is or what foods it is found in. The map of the hotel was quite poor and we found it at times difficult to be visiting as first timers there - the site is so large, there should maybe be some additional support / guidance / tours given to people who are 'newbies' so they know how to make the most of their time there."

"The beach was clean. Beds were very comfortable. Free boat ride was very relaxing and fun. They managed to get halal meat for us every night (we told them in advance) so that was very helpful. They celebrated our anniversary every night! There were many cool birds in the compound! Iguanas too!"
