(It's essential if you are driving to playa del Carmen as almost all private car parks have an hourly rate) La quinta avenida is right in the corner, so it's a very cool location for dinner, party, drinks, etc. Bear in mind that if you are a light sleeper, you will definitely need earplugs because there is noise coming from the street due to the centre location. It's 15-20mins walk to the ferry port if you want to enjoy a day in Cozumel as we did. The beds are comfortable, and the bathroom is ok. Overall prices were very decent for the position if you booked in advance."

"Unfortunately, breakfast was very disappointing. We had a free genius breakfast, which included a small portion of fruit or lemonade, tea or coffee, and a toast slice with bread and butter. I am gluten-free, and I am used to carry my own bread around, but the waitress wasn't very accommodating for some extra butter and jam, very sad. Cleaning could be improved between guests as we found lots of dust and sticky floors"

"The location is fantastic. Underground parking was full when we arrived, but we were lucky to find street parking (free from 2200-1000 and then only 10 pesos per hour between 1000-2200). We only stayed one night so had to pay 20 pesos but for a whole 12 hr period, I can see this getting expensive. The room/balcony was spacious, front desk staff were very, very nice. The pool is 24 hours so a nice (cold) dip was welcome after a long travel day in warmer clothing. Highly recommend TacosMX and Chou Chous for eats."

"Over half of the electrical outlets didn't work (but half did, so we were still ok). There was a very dirty mosquito net (?) thingy over our bed, which was falling off at the top anyways, so we made sure to tuck it behind and not have it touch us. Not sure of the point, unless you want to sleep with the patio door open but it didn't even cover the whole bed, so again, just an eyesore in our opinions. Everything else ok!"

"I booked a room here last minute because I had an issue with my previous accommodation and the staff at Soho Playa gave me such a warm welcome and let me into my room way before the check in time. The location is also convenient, only a few steps away from Quinta Avenida and the beach. The rooms and bathrooms feel luxurious and spacious."
