"Very good location in old and respectable building with unique history. Renovated in high quality level, but some time ago. Large rooms and bathrooms (with bathtub). Comfortable beds. Good enough breakfast. Very good evening bar cocktails! Good sound proofing (taking into account tram near building). Automatic check-in/out worked without problems."

"A bit weared out and missing some technical attitude to equipment (dripping shower mixer, broken telephone in bathroom (but who needs it nowadays?! It will be better to remove at all than stay as dark dot in beautiful bathroom), loose el.socket, hardly movable curtain (1 from totally 5)). So - nothing fundamental, but - 9/10 points for stay is impossible to grant... PS. Evening cocktails were amazing, but no snacks at all... Bartender only told that this specific evening is exception, but sad."

"The venue felt very historical, like stepping into an episode of Bridgerton. I would say that this place is unique and has a very personal vibe. The room was clean, and the area was not loud, even though it is in the city centre. There was no parking included, but there is city parking next to the hotel, which is free from 20:00 to 08:00. If you decide to stay at this place, the bar is a must-visit — it has a great vibe, great cocktails, and a wonderful atmosphere."

"The stay was very good, comfortable. Great location. I was worried that the lack of staff might be a problem, but I was well supported from a distance. The palace where the hotel is located is charming and I recommend choosing Benjamin House for stays like mine (about a week): you can breathe in the atmosphere of the most historic Latvia."

"The location is fantastic. It was easy to find the keys without the reception area. The building itself is really nice. The room size is OK. The furniture is old but serves its purpose."

"It would be good to see some staff of the hotel but actually it didn't bother me that much. The room should be properly cleaned if you stay for more than 3 nights. It was a bit cold even with the radiators switched on. The grit should be used at the entrance as it was slippery and I nearly fell over twice, although wearing proper winter boots. I stayed at this hotel in March 2019 and it was completely different then. Live and vivid atmosphere, fantastic breakfasts, the staff at the reception but now the standards obviously have dropped down. That's a shame really."

"It's the most beautiful building and we're so happy we stayed here! The breakfast is amazing, staff very friendly and helpful. Check in is automated with key codes however it was very easy! If you want something different to a standard modern hotel, this is for you."

"I think it is due a little updating as there are some scuff marks on the walls and the heating worked well but is fairly old. This isn't a brand new modern hotel but it is quirky, different and completely charming. Great location and value for money."

The rooms are spacious, very clean, and well equipped with everything you might need, so it’s comfortable whether you’re staying for a short visit or longer. One of the highlights is the open bar on weekends. It’s beautifully set up, serves very good drinks, and creates a lively, welcoming vibe. If you’re lucky, you might even catch one of their special events or parties, which are fun and add a unique touch to the overall experience."
