"Accommodation is perfectly positioned for everything that you need in the town such as banks and eateries etc. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast was very good and everything cooked and prepared freshly. The owner speaks English very well and is able to provide lots of information about things to do and onward travel within the country. He is very keen to be helpful as are all his friendly stuff. Sometimes a bit too keen! It was spotlessly clean. That is also a nice communal area outside. It is set back from the main road and very quiet. The Wi-Fi was good. The owner is able to arrange tours to visit the local elephant reserves. It's good value for money."

"Run by a father and son team who were extremely accommodating, knowledgeable and kind. We stayed following recommendations by family who visited last year, it was our first stop in Sri Lanka and a great place to find our feet. We went on tours organised by Gamagedara and they were excellent. Highly recommend."

"My room on the upper floor was very spacious and new, with a big window, terrace, and nice style. I saw that right now they are building a swimming pool.."

"The corridors have a lot of echo and noise carries very easily. This was an issue the night I stayed, when some locals (not sure if they were staff) were singing and playing music late at night. For my taste, the owner tries a bit too hard to sell additional tours and services, which seem to be slightly more expensive than average. That said, this is just a personal opinion, some people may appreciate having everything organised for them."

"The rooms upstairs are very nice and comfortable, the one aT the ground floor have a strong smell of humidity which is very common in the area. The owner makes his best to make a comfortable stay to his guests and he is doing great. You can eat breakfast and dinner there, there are few options but portions are enough. Staff is very kind and helpful even if nobody speak any foreign language or English at least. Only the owner speaks fluently. Overall our stay was great here. Thank you"
