"It was very uncomplicated to get the keys. Plenty of parking nearby. The bathroom was spacious, the location was clean. The building has old roots and the main building was a makeshift hospital during the Battle of Waterloo, which added to the charm."

"I loved the charm & atmosphere of the Hotel. I was pleasantly surprised. Beds were nice & comfy. If anything a ceiling fan would be nice, just cause it got quite warm in the room. But otherwise ir was lovely."

I usually wouldn't stay in anything with a shared toilet & bathroom but it was fine & very clean.

We would have liked to have been given sandwiches with the tea at 4pm. Slight disappointment!

"The hotel manager went above and beyond to make it the perfect holiday for us. We also got engaged whilst on holiday and the room was decorated upon our return back to the hotel."

"Location, courtyard, the food was very good, the room had a lot of heating (allmost too much). I don't know why some people complained about the food, it was very good, especially their sausages."

The rooms could use a little bit of repairs. The window cover kept falling off and the shower door kept getting out of the tracks.

"Well, totally different experience from Riga! This place is AWESOME as the staff. The lady who hosted us did a great and PERFECT job. We place is very well located, alogside the road, close to supermarkets and the castle ruins. The city centre can be acessed by a footpath uphill from the hotel on a pleasant walk. Bedrooms alright, very clean and organized with no problems at all. We liked so much, that we spent more time that we intended on the next city in a Wine Festival in Sabile that we decided to go back and stay one more night and with only 10 Euros more, they gave us an apartment with living room and kitchen. I wuosl easily go back and refer here. One of the best places on the trip! The city is not big and have not that much to visit but satying here, made everything much better and pleasant! And parking is right besides the hotel as well with plenty space and easy to use and access!"

"Location is at walking distance from many points of interest. Room has a little kitchen with stove and small refrigerator. There is no Coffee maker though. Room has A/C, hot water, TV with Netflix. It is a good choice for the price and it is comfortable. It is also very quiet."

It said had parking included but you need to park on the street or pay a parking lot. Besides the guy that received us for the check-in never saw anyone else in the front desk during our stay to ask questions or guide us on anything. Other than that the place is good to stay and will definitely go back

The family is incredibly kind and welcoming, and they went above and beyond to organize all my trips both around town and further afield. They are very knowledgeable and always happy to help with anything. It also meant a lot to know that the funds from the guest house support a school for the local community. The staff were friendly and helpful from the very first moment, always available without ever being intrusive. My room was bright, spacious, and very quiet — perfect for relaxing after a busy day. The location is excellent: easy to get around, close to the main points of interest, and well connected by public transport. I would definitely recommend this hotel."
