The Plitvice Lakes are posicionated in the mountainous region of Lika. A total of 16 lakes at different altitude are separated by travertine barriers and linked by waterfalls and cascades. Villa Katja is a great base to explore this impressive area.

"Being very close to Plitvice National Park, in comfortable premises with helpful owners, cannot be overrated, can it?"
"The premises are a bit noisy. Also, we had to look for a decent breakfast, which was more complicated than foreseen, when both the promise on the announcement was not made true and the advice to cope did not function. But of course, we managed."

"Pretty property, 20-min walk to entrance 2 of the lakes, great hike through the woods, really peaceful. The bus stop is the one after entrance 2, if arriving from Zagreb (mukinje bus stop). Hosts gave us an early check-in, so it was wonderful after an overnight bus ride. Recommend!"
