"it is convenient to Saint Marlo, so close to stay at before the ferry the next morning."

"on arrival, we were told that the restaurant was fully booked for supper which was annoying. The hotel was not full and I’m sure they could have added another table for the evening having to find somewhere else to eat after a long day driving was irritating and inconvenient."

"This is an old fashioned hotel, and I mean that in a good way. It feels family run, the staff are so welcoming and freindly, even the keys are real keys and not bits of plastic. The location is lovely, overlooking Combourg's lake, the public areas are fine, I enjoyed an overlong nightcap in the bar! I had a great night's sleep in a super comfy bed. It was so peaceful I assumed that the hotel was nearly empty at the end of a season. I was surprised to see how busy it was for the breakfast serving, it obviosuly attracts nice quiet guests!"
