"Nigel and robina are lovely and welcoming, had plenty of information for places to eat and drink, as well as things around the area. Other staff are also very friendly. Was a lovely clean place, with local pubs and a lovely walk around the grounds too."

"Our third visit. A fantastic property, packed with items of historical and local interest. Very welcoming atmosphere with extremely helpful staff. Laura upgraded our room free of charge by email even before arrival and we were provided toothpaste for free after forgetting ours. Great setting in lovely gardens with chickens roaming around and all manner of birds. Fantastic breakfast which you order on arrival and is freshly cooked. If you want a building full of character with nooks and crannies to explore, along with a peaceful getaway then this place is perfect. Will definitely return."

"Warm welcome, beautiful setting, incredibly comfortable room with stunning views and perfect taste. A gem! Loved the way the breakfast order made sure there was no waste and all delicious ( even though I took the tomato ketchup to be apricot jam!) My boots got wet on a walk and were dried by the Aga and handed over to me the next morning."
