"If you are looking for an experience living among the locals, this is the ideal place. The owner was helpful in organising trips at a reasonable price and assisted in arranging for the ferry for us early in the morning when we need to go to Abu Simbel.The dinner that we had at the place on the roof top was excellent. The fried fish was especially good."

"La habitación era muy cómoda, el hotel tiene una terraza con muy buena vista y la isla es muy tranquila. Y los dueños tienen un restaurant en la orilla del río donde desayunas y estar en el sunset ahi es muy relajante, fuera de la ciudad. "Das Hostel ist vom Faehranleger aus nicht ausgeschildert und damit fuer Leute ohne Internet nicht zu finden. Zumal es auf der Insel (noch) nicht bekannt ist - - ICH habe ungefähr 20 Anwohner fragen müssen, bis ich durch Zufall direkt davor stand. Auch dort ist kein Schild, nur rechts oben die bemalte Fassade."

"I was kindly allowed to do an early check in due to the overnight travel from Cairo and was picked up from the centre. Amany was great and very friendly but the only english speaker in Seliya. The place is located away from town centre so it's not affected by its noise , however I didn't sleep for 2 nights in a row because of the hotel's dog barking in the internal garden.. which went on for hours in the middle of the night... This was the big and only minus for me. There is not much going on near the hotel but the tuk tuk to town is only 40 Egyptian each way and Amany can arrange food delivery if needed. The place is really pretty and lots of places in the garden when you can hang out or relax, mosquitos permitting. Would be nice to see some mosquitos traps so that the time in garden is more enjoyable."
