"Wonderful host who was very kind and attentive. We were able to store our bags during the day after we checked out until we caught our overnight bus. The room was large and comfortable. There was hot water in the shower, ample blankets and even a small heater in our room (which we didn't need to use). Our experience was that the hostel was quite inside and a quiet area generally."

"For us it was fine, but it is a 10-15min walk from the centre, which may not be to everyone's liking. The area seemed very safe and we walked home in the dark (before 10pm) each night."

"The guesthouse was really beautiful and comfy. It was clean and tidy and it had hot water (something that is not to be taken for granted in Ecuador). The kitchen was super spacious and well equipped and the view from the balcony exceptional. The location was also really good, close to the city center and not far from the bus terminal. Also, the people that run the house were really friendly, polite and helpful. We actually changed a couple of hostels while in Cuenca cause they didn't meet our expectations (like hot water for example) and we found this one to be a perfect fit. Bella Vista is definitely a place to go back to if ever again in the city."
