"Highly recommended peaceful hotel. Not too many rooms, nice pool. The garden is beautiful, the rooms are huge and very comfortable. You can have breakfast on your private terrace if you want. They provide dinner, if you want to. You can order in advance and tell at what time you want it. It's very laidback. Great and very nice staff, they will help you with everything you need."

"Some reviews stated a 10 minute walk to the beach. That's not our experience. To go to the beach, you have to ask the hotel to ring you a tuktuk. Just some extra information, nothing the hotel can help: at the beach there are no beach bars. There are sunbeds you can rent, but you need to bring your lunch and drinks. The beach is beautiful, very nice for a swim."

"Our stay on the Yathra Houseboat will always stay in our minds and hearts. This is our second time within 3 years. We had a vacation of our life with all the comfort and pampering by the staff on the boat. The cruise on the river provided rare glimpse of few exotic birds and a large group of monkeys. The narrations by the Manager of the Dedduwa Boat House about those birds were very informative. The Skipper was kind enough to stop along the river bank to watch the birds closely and take photographs. The candle-lit dinner and the night spend on the upper deck was simply magical. The next day my husband even managed catch some fish while cruising. The staff arranged them to be prepared for our lunch and that dish was out of this world. The staff went an extra mile to make us happy. The bedrooms and the facilities on board were above standard. This is the best destination we spend while in Sri Lanka. Keep it up Yathra and we will back again next year."

"Bel emplacement proche de la plage, de la gare, de la banque et de la poste. A 15 minutes du centre ville à pied. Les abords de la villa sont bien entretenus. Aruna, la personne en charge des clients est très réactive et efficace."

"Cet appartement mérite un meilleur traitement : nous sommes arrivés dans un logement non occupé depuis plusieurs semaines voire plusieurs mois. Des insectes, des margouilles, des cafards, des araignées 🕷 et des fourmis partout. Tous les 2 jours, Aruna devait intervenir pour rétablir le débit d'eau qui se tarissait régulièrement. De la même façon, il est faux de dire que ce logement est connecté à Internet même dans les parties communes. N'espérez pas travailler en nomade numérique ou même correspondre avec votre famille. Le propriétaire, qui vit en Italie, souligne que nous ne sommes pas en Europe et qu'il faut s'adapter Soit... mais les prix sont à hauteur de l'Europe, quant à eux, et nous n'avons eu aucun problème de ce genre dans d'autres locations au Sri Lanka A décharge de la nonchalance des propriétaires, Aruna est intervenu à la demande mais beaucoup trop souvent à notre goût. Nous avons joué les surveillants de travaux beaucoup trop de fois."
