"Our stay at the Star of Dahab was fantastic. The highlights were a great view from the room (this was our room, some will not have the same view) and the fact that the little cafe out front on the beach was accessible to us, a rare find in Dahab. We could just go and sit and enjoy the sea, snorkel and drink coffee without having to go to a restaurant. It is on the south end of the boardwalk, so a small walk to get to Lighthouse area, but very quiet and peaceful. It is one street from a more local road with lots of great restaurants that are cheaper than those down in the Lighthouse (or main area) of Dahab. The staff were helpful and accommodating to match our group's needs. Overall, it was a very laid back, relaxing atmosphere that felt safe and welcoming. We will return!"

"The bathrooms are wet rooms (for foreigners who are not used to this concept, it means the whole bathroom becomes wet when you shower as it is not enclosed). It would be helpful to have a squeegee and more hooks for clothes on the walls, but definitely a minor inconvenience in the end."

"We had a truly comfortable and relaxing stay. Although it’s a three-star hotel, the staff’s kind and excellent service makes it feel like a five-star experience or more. We received especially great help from Sherif, who took thoughtful care to ensure we had a comfortable holiday. We are very grateful. The room is spacious and clean, and the breakfast was great too. It’s located close to the center of Dahab and the sea, yet set one block inside, making it a quiet place to relax. Highly recommended."

"The location of this place is great, close to everything but not in the middle of the chaos, and the diving center close by is superb! I definitely recommend staying here if you are a diver. The breakfast was fresh and varied (there was always a small difference from one day to another, which kept it interesting!) and the atmosphere was fantastic. The staff is so nice and welcoming and there were plenty of activities being planned while I was there, usually with them! It was great to spend some quality time with locals and not only with other tourists. I would 100% be back!"

"The only flaw I found was the bathrooms. The toilets and the showers are in the same rooms (which is common use in Egypt, just not ideal), so the floor was usually wet and got dirty very fast. The staff was always trying to clean them, but it was a lost battle from from the beginning... So bring some flipflops only for the bathrooms and do not enter barefoot or with your outside shoes, please!"

"I have stayed in this hotel before, but it’s so much nicer than before.I really like the staff that is working here now. The staff are friendly and always happy to help. The hotel has a great view over the sea and the lagoon. The sunrise is beautiful from here. The hotel has a nice pool with sunbeds and private seating and a shade from the sun. The hotel is approximately 15 minutes walking distance to the closest beach. If you don’t want to walk you can take a shuttle bus to the beach or to the center of the town."

"pleasant, clean accommodation with a fridge, own bathroom and toilet, very comfortable mattress and duvet. When there was a problem with wifi, the owner solved it immediately. It was a very pleasant stay at the Lighthouse, next to Freedive Dahab"
