L'Hostal Walser, localitzat a l'extrem sud de la localitat d'Ulrichen, al costat de la carretera que condueix fins al pas de Nufenen, ofereix cambres amb mirada sobre les muntanyes i interpulcre Wi-Fi gratuïta. Aquest casa rural a més acull un univers culinari especialitzat en plats de la regió de Valais. Totes les cambres disposen de bany privat i algunes igualment tenen un balcó orientat al sud o a l'oest. Conjuntament hi ha una sala independent amb servei de guardaesquís. El cuina d'autor proposa especialitats tradicionals de la regió de Valais. Durant els mesos d'estiu, així com podreu menjar a la terrassa enjardinada. La pista d'esquí de fons de Goms és al costat del Walser Residència i l'estació de tren d'Ulrichen, a tan sols 7 minuts a peu. L'estació d'esquí de Belwald és a 15 minuts amb cotxe i les estacions d'esquí de Fieschalp i Bettmeralp, a 30 minuts.

"Usual hotel continental breakfast with good bread, meat cheese etc, but no salad. Our bedroom in the annex was comfortable but a little hot for our taste. It was modern and well maintained and well decorated. They accommodated our exclusion diets well. The hotel was right next to the ski tracks. There was a good ski locker in the hotel basement. There was a coffee/hot water gadget in our room"
"The evening meal was sometimes more than we wanted to eat. Small bites options would have been helpful. Walking between the annex and the hotel on icy footpaths was precarious. They could only partially respond to our request for extra pillows"

"A lovely swiss hotel well located next to the ViaRhona cycle path. It wasn't situated right in the centre of Ulrichen but was an easy walk away, quieter and a very good location for us (cycling the Rhone valley). We stayed in the annex which I had thought might not be as good as being in the hotel itself but it was lovely. Spacious and clean with a great bathroom. We also had a coffee machine/kettle which was nice. The hotel had a restaurant which was excellent. Breakfast was also generous and set us up for a day of cycling."
