"The location is beautiful. In the jungle but still close to the road. Easier with a car to get to town but only a 20 minute walk. Loved the outside kitchen which is really well equipped. The staff are amazing. Cesar & his team including Elsa & Wilder (who is incredibly knowledgeable about birds) made our stay outstanding."
"Aucun."
"The room was spacious and very clean. All the staff were incredibly friendly and stopped to chat wherever we met them - on a pathway, at the front desk, or at the firepit. The restaurant food and service were great, and we loved that there was a fire in the firepit every evening."
"Tours are a bit high-priced, but we found that in other locations as well."
"Very friendly helpful staff. Beautiful property, with clean, well-stocked, quiet apartment. Central location for pick up on excursions, close to town by car (bit far to walk)."
"Restaurant food was delicious but pricey. Bunkbed mattress was very uncomfortable, sagging and thin but other beds were good."
"Wonderful location, beautiful wildlife, kind and lovely people."
"Slightly dated rooms but for the price just fine"
"Gardens/ property beautiful and well kept Lots of beautiful plants and flowers. Staff very responsive and helpful Everything very well kept and clean. A relaxing place out of the town in a jungle environment."
"Only downside was noise from road which started early in the morning- they are planting palms and plants to tryout create a sound barrier but that will take time . A unit further from the road might have been quieter."
"Everything!! Great spot outside of town. Plenty to do including a great hike around the site . Bit of a walk into town but don’t be out off. Cesar and the staff will looks after you …"
"Nothing"
"The grounds, the size of the accommodation, the various areas to sit and enjoy the gardens, the friendly staff. The manager, Levi, went to collect a pizza for us one evening when my son was unwell. All staff were so friendly and helpful."
"Many tours claimed online that the hotel was outside of their pick-up area but the hotel advised us to call the operators to check and they all came to pick us up!"
"Maya mountain Lodge is a perfect location. Our bungalow was a good size and bedding was lovely and clean with a mattress topper. Towels were brilliant white and there were lots of them . The shower was great, spacious with lots of hot water, housekeeping was daily and very thorough. , A water cooler was provided in the bungalow and a vase with flowers . There was a Coffee machine and a fridge. The setting is very very tranquil, with lots of birds and squirrels; there is also the occasional monkey. The pool is very clean and there are chairs and hammocks. The restaurant has a limited menu but is very good and service is excellent. Reception sells crisps etc. WiFi was very good."
"The restaurant requested we book and order in advance; it would have been nice to be able to decide to dine on an ad hoc basis. Loungers at the pool would be appreciated. Chairs on patio were difficult to get out of because they were so low."
"The surroundings were great, the pool and the gardens were lovely. The lodges were a traditional style and were very comfortable with a small kitchen provided."
"There was some road noise, and the location is a distance from San Ignacio"
"The properties was beautiful. It is situated right in the jungle and the property has many things to offer such as a pool, spa, restaurant, and a fire pit. The rooms were also clean and there was plenty of air conditioning."
"The unit we stayed at was a bit run down and it could use a bit of love. Also the common areas in our unit weren't that comfy."

"Small boutique hotel so felt quite private, which is what we wanted. Beautiful room and views to the beach and reef. Wish we could have stayed longer in this hotel and San Pedro. You can even rent kayaks at the hotel for free! Yes its a bit further away from the centre but we were only there for 2 nights so it was a nice adventure with the golf carts and a good way to visit more parts of the island as we went back and forth between the hotel and San Pedro. Also you'll be closer to secret beach."

"We enjoyed staying at this quirky guest house. We were warmly met by the friendly owner and had plenty of space to hang out for the day we were there, waiting to catch a shuttle to Belize City. I say quirky because in our mini apartment, there was a bed in the kitchen ( as well as our bed in the bedroom), and there is an old US school bus in the garden. But it felt quirky rather than derelict. It's a 5min taxi ride to the bus terminal in town or a 20-minute walk. We chose the Taxi option. It's also close to a good bakery, and you can see the supermarket from the hammocks in the garden. There is a fabulous restaurant called Hambre which is a 20 min walk."
