Sandown Lodge is located in the suburb of Rondebosch, just 9 km from Cape Town city centre. This country-style lodge boasts a garden, terrace and barbecue facilities. The University of Cape Town is 4 km away. All rooms are elegantly decorated in natural and warm colours. Each room contains a private patio and satellite TV. The suites have a little kitchenette for basic self catering and there is a wonderful coffee shop 300m from the Lodge where guests can have breakfast and a number of restaurants serving a range of local and international cuisines can be found within 3 km from Sandown. The suites are serviced daily except for Sundays and Public Holidays Guests can relax in the garden and enjoy reading a book on the terrace. Newlands Rugby and Cricket Stadiums are within 2 km from the property and Rondebosch Golf Club is 3 km away. Free WiFi is available in all areas and private parking is on site.

"The room was lovely and very clean, with both a bath and a shower. It also had tea and coffee-making facilities, and I really appreciated the fridge, microwave, and the cutlery and plates provided. The owners and the manager were all lovely - very welcoming, approachable, and helpful throughout the stay. Breakfast was included, which was such a treat. There was always a wide variety of fruit, cereals, toast, and jams, as well as a delicious cooked breakfast. The house itself is beautiful and has so much charm. The location is perfect and feels very safe. I would definitely stay here again."

"The location was convenient for motorways and only 15-20 mins from the airport. It was quiet and leafy with a park opposite and amenities nearby. The accommodation is in an elegant historic house and guests have the use of the beautiful rear garden. The staff were fantastic. Parking with electric gates."
"Not an issue, but for info, when we booked we had the impression that breakfast was included (it was mentioned in reviews) but this was historic and not currently provided. The kitchenette was very well equipped so it's easy to provide your own! We had the Suite, which we thought the best of the 3 we saw."

"Kaijaiki is a true gem! I have stood in unit 4 which was super spaciouse, had a lovely well equipped kitchenett and a beautiful, tranquil view onto the courtyard. The next door coffee-store where breakfast is served is so cozy and food is deliciouse. Manager and staff go over and above to make my stay comfortable. Highly recommend it."

"We really enjoyed the accommodation. We were kindly welcomed right at our car for check-in and received plenty of helpful information and guidance. The room is beautiful, spacious, clean, and extremely comfortable, (the bathroom is amazing!) The property is located on a farm, with lovely orchards and a beautiful garden, which we really enjoyed. It’s about 15 minutes from MQP airport; since we planned to leave very early, the host kindly packed our breakfast so we could enjoy it in our room before departing."
