Overlooking the village of Prince Albert, Karoo View Cottages offers accommodation with views of the Swartberg Mountains and Karoo plains.This property features an outdoor plunge pool and free WiFi in the public areas. Karoo View offers 4 self-catering, open-plan cottages boasting double-volume, reed ceilings and log fireplaces. Each air-conditioned cottage is individually decorated and offers a large, fully-equipped kitchen. The beds are made up with percale linen and 100% cotton throws, and each has a mosquito curat. Bath sheets, bath robes, a hairdryer and guest amenities are provided for your comfort and convenience. 2 Cottages are wheelchair friendly and equipped. In addition to the cottages, Karoo View also offers a 3-bedroom house, which features a private pool, log fireplaces and hammam i saunacious living and dining areas. There is a fully-equipped, farm-style kitchen and a living area equipped with a TV with selected satellite channels. Each bedroom is en suite and air-conditioned. There are 2 large verandas, and a BBQ that is fully stocked with firewood and fire-lighters. Each unit at Karoo View has access to the indigenous gardens with nature paths. Guests can pre-order a braai (BBQ) basket and pick herbs and vegetables from the property's organic tunnel. Star gazing on clear nights, birding, cycling and hiking are popular activities in the surroundings, and the village of Prince Albert is 350 metres away from Karoo View.

"Great location within walking distance to town, but far enough removed for a solitude feeling - very nice views from the cottages. Greg was a great manager, welcoming us and keeping everything in order The rooms are very clean and comfortable, we were a family with 2 teenagers We didn’t use the kitchen, but it seemed very well equipped"

"Great location and views. The property is close to town but still feels secluded. The room was very spacious and the owner thinks of every detail to make your stay feel even more comfortable, from the breakfast cereals to the milk and orange juice in the fridge and everything you need to braai outside. There’s also a full kitchen with a stove when you want to cook in but I particularly like the onsite restaurant that you can sit down and have a meal at or get your food/drinks delivered to your room. Our room had both an aircon, ceiling fan and standing fan which came in handy over the hot summer night. There’s also a large mosquito net above the bed which you can make use of if needs be. I do have to say that nothing beats sitting out on the patio over looking the mountains with a wine in the evening or a sunrise coffee in the morning. I wish we could have stayed longer. 10 out of 10 stay."

"Although it was a self-catering cottage, cereals, yogurt, fruit juice and rusks were replenished every morning - Really cool! The harsh Karoo heat was relieved by fans and air conditioning in the cottage and even by a private little plunge pool just outside the cottage. A restaurant on the property provided excellent meals - delicious lamb chops and lamb curry - yummy!"
"Although everything was really perfect, it would have been nice to have a shady veranda in the space reserved for parking the car. The existing veranda provided beautiful views but was too hot to sit there in the afternoon."

"Wonderful warm Welcome. Staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Accomodation was spotless. Pinnacle white cotton linen. Really comfortable bed and pillows. Fresh orange juice and milk in fridge. Musli, cereal, coffee, tea, sugar ext. Absolutely Beautiful surroundings. Pet friendly. What really stood out was home welcome we were made."

"The location was great, with beautiful views of the mountains and the town! The cottage was very well equipped , that air conditioning was a great relief from the heat! Howard and his team made extra effort to accommodate my dog Harvey. They attention to detail to make my stay memorable with freshly ground coffee, milk, cereal and fruit juice for the next morning was superb ! Thank you Howard, I will surely be back 👍👍"
