"My stay in Zanzibar was genuinely beautiful and restorative. The amenities were excellent, everything felt well maintained, thoughtfully arranged, and designed for comfort. The pool area in particular was a highlight for me. It was spotless, peaceful, and perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. The atmosphere felt relaxed but still refined. The food was another standout. Fresh ingredients, generous portions, and a wonderful mix of local flavors and familiar comfort dishes. Every meal felt like something to look forward to. What truly elevated the experience, though, was the staff. Warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. They made everything feel effortless and were always ready to help with a smile. Their hospitality made me feel welcome from the first moment. Overall, it was a memorable stay and I would happily return."

"I had a lovely stay overall, but I want to share one small note that might help future guests. My room was located above the kitchen, which meant it could be quite noisy at certain hours, especially early in the morning. It didn’t ruin my experience, but light sleepers may want to request a quieter room location in advance. As a solo traveler, I also found that many excursions are priced per group or per couple, which means paying nearly double when traveling alone. This is quite common in many destinations, but it can feel discouraging. That said, I was fortunate to meet a wonderful family to join for trips, which made everything both more affordable and more enjoyable."

"The staff was super friendly and it has direct access to the beach. The room and toilet were spacious, the restaurant had happy hour and the food was very tasty and offered a good variety."

"The access road was a bit too bumpy and had water ponds, follow the Tiki Beach bar indications for a smoother arrival."

"Righ on the beach. Loved sitting on the beach beds and immense in the evening sea breeze. The pool was very good also. Vet friendly staff."

"The SPA. It doesnt qualify to be a SPA. It just a massage bed. No essence in the rooms. Right above restaurant. One can hear all the noises from outside. It really needs an upgrade"

"Our stay was wonderful. Amina at the reception was amazing and extremely helpful, and all the staff were equally kind and welcoming. The restaurant team also stood out with their friendliness, and overall the service made us feel very well cared for."

"This was not the hotel’s fault, but apparently some other guests preferred to take naps in the afternoon and thought that my wife, my friends, and I were being too loud. We felt that in a resort in paradise people should relax and enjoy, not complain. Again, this is not something against the Mayai Ocean Resort, which was excellent."

"It’s a beautiful small hotel with nice amenities like multiple pools and the restaurant (food was amazing) directly at the beach. Everything looks new and like in the pictures. There were no insects in the room or on the property due to spraying. The AC was working great. Breakfast was delicious and they have proper cappuccino. Davis was an amazing host and very attentive to our needs :)"

"The hotel was hard to find on google maps and there is no proper road leading to it (Bwejuu is not touristic and there is nothing to walk to next to the hotel, at night you should always take a taxi). Some of the staff members were newer and need more training. On the last day we had a little inconvenience, just when we wanted to shower before our check out the power went off and so did the water. Unfortunately is was not back in time, of course this can happen though."
