"Excellent location - close to the beach and kenting street, but still quiet and peaceful. The sea view is very very worth the price - phenomenal value. Owner is friendly and polite (of course it’s taiwan couldn’t expect less from these lovely people). Toilet and bath is very new and clean, with a stepped sitting area near the balcony - very thoughtful design."

"Only accessible by stairs, a slight inconvenience but not a big deal. Saw the cleaner placed towels on the staircase as well - but I guess it’s just common practice - wouldn’t expect 100% sanitised towels from any place anyways."

"Beautiful hotel across from the ocean and close to the main street night market and bus service. We had a little balcony looking at the sunsets and moon over the ocean. Very lovely."

"The breakfast vouchers are for a Cafe down the road. The food was ok but we have much preferred the traditional Chinese breakfasts offered in other places."

"the doors and connecting walls are quite thin hence if you have other noisy guest staying you can hear them going in and out of their rooms and up and down the stairs making it difficult to sleep. we gave feedback to the hotel staff and they spoke to noisy guest which made it better on the next night"

"Wir haben im Hido Hostel ein Zimmer mit Meerblick gebucht. Vom Balkon aus hat man einen tollen Blick aufs Wasser. Frühstück wird nicht vom Hotel direkt, sondern über das kleine Lokal Magic Kitchen bereit gestellt (ca. 2 Min. zu Fuß entfernt). Man kann auf einem Voucher zwischen 3 Sandwich Varianten und Getränken (Schwarzer Kaffee, Sojamilch oder Milchtee - also typisch taiwanesisch) auswählen. Gegessen wird entweder im Lokal oder to go. Wir haben uns für den Balkon des Zimmers entschieden. Wie so oft in Taiwan müsste man eine vegetarische Alternative extra angeben / vorbestellen. Die Anreise nach Kenting erfolgte bei uns mit dem Tourismus Shuttlebus. Die Station Kenting Police Substation ist fußläufig zum Hotel. Das Hotel bzw Zimmer ist für taiwanesische Verhältnisse modern eingerichtet. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Mit den englischen Grundbegriffen klappte auch der Check In reibungslos."

"Als Europäer ist man an Toilettenpapier gewöhnt. Im Hido Hostel gab es einen Tuch Spender im Bad. Funktioniert auch so gut."
