"The owner aunty is so cute . She does not understand a word of english but everytime i came in and left the house , she kept giving me so many donuts and apples ,she fed me a bento lunch and gave me so many gifts .. i could not believe her hospitality . There was a hearty breakfast every day and she even washed my clothes for me . It almost made me sad to not know chinese to communicate with her . She is so so nice . Also the view of the mountains from my room was breathtaking"

"The property is in fenqihu . And fenqihu is not very well connected . There are 1 or 2 buses that come or leave from alishan or chiyai and if you miss one of them .. it can be really troublesome . The property in itself is almost flawless"

"The staffs are very friendly. They also have a donuts business at the entrances. That's a bonus for us to enjoy. At night, the owner also prepared fruits for us. The morning breakfast is awesome. The mountain view from 201 is stunning."

"When you visit, keep in mind that it is behind a shop (look for the donut store with the yellow sign on the side, all the way at the end of the Old Street from the bus stop, or ask other shop owners for Yang Yang) and that it is in a mountainous area, which means you really need to take your time with a suitcase. There isn't something I don't like about this place, so these are just some tips that will surely come in handy."

"We arrived on a Sunday and it was absolutely packed, the owner also sells doughnuts and there was a long queue. So our room was not cleaned till later on, which did not worry us as we explored the town and bamboo Forrest. To make up for it she kept giving us doughnuts, fruit, drinks and food. Loved our stay."

"I only have good things to say about this place. The location is simply perfect: we decided to stop to eat in a shop at the street market, and when searching for the hostel, it was right in front of us. The room we stayed was very comfortable and with a beautiful view to the mountains. The lady in charge of the hostel was so gentil that she gave us to try the baked donuts they prepare and sell on the first floor (apparently they are famous because they always had a loot of people buying!). We were not only happy with the room, but also touched by her kindness."
