"I absolutely love Hôtel Sokhamon and its proximity to the Daniel Sorano Theater, where I attended an organized dance intensive by the National Ballet of Senegal. I was able to walk safely to and from the theater and appreciated being near the Auchan supermarket. The pool was refreshing on hot days. The hotel has beautiful architecture and has an amazing view of the Atlantic Ocean. It was very nice watching and hearing the ocean waves in the morning and night. The breakfast of tea, juice, yogurt, bread and croissants was fulfilling and was promptly delivered to my room after calling the front desk. It was my third time staying at the hotel, and I’ll be back! I highly recommend the hotel."

"Le cadre géographique face à l'Océan, l'amabilité et la disponibilité de l'ensemble du personnel. Les chambres très agréables. Une architecture, sortant des grands ensembles hôteliers, offre un style personnel qui a une âme si l'on veut bien prendre le temps d'observer chaque détail et d'en comprendre la symbolique : un parcours "initiatique" ou spirituel qui amène à la réflexion."

"The room was spacious and the facilities were decent. Moreover, it's located right on the water, with lovely views of the ocean and offshore islands. It's also very close to some nice areas of the city like the African art museum and the neighborhoods surrounding the presidential palace. The staff were very nice, esp. the one who serves breakfast."

"There were two main issues. First, my room's windows did not have screens, and they did not completely shut, either. So, I was afraid that insects or even rodents (I saw a huge rat a few blocks away) might get into the room. Fortunately when I requested it the staff gave me some mosquito netting (I wasn't able to get vaccinated for yellow fever, so this was rather concerning). Second, and related to this first issue, the entire hotel appears to have passed its prime, and feels almost as if it's been abandoned. There were very few guests, and the large restaurant and lounges were empty (and not serving anything). Of course, that made it very quiet and peaceful, but also a little eerie."
