Situated in Jukkasjärvi in northern Sweden, IceHotel features rooms entirely made out of sculptured ice from the neighbouring Torne River. Warm rooms are also offered. A bookable sauna experience featuring a sauna, wood-burning hot tub and ice bath is available for a fee. Holding a temperature between -5 to -8 degrees Celsius, the individually themed cold rooms include hand-carved ice furnishings by international artists. Guests sleep in thermal sleeping bags on beds covered in reindeer hides. In the morning, guests can enjoy the shared sauna. All warm rooms feature a flat-screen TV with cable channels, dining area, and a private bathroom equipped with a shower. Free WiFi is offered in all rooms. The on-site IceHotel taula gastronòmica serves traditional dishes with locally produced ingredients. Guests can relax with hot drinks and snacks in the warm lounge, or enjoy cocktails served in glasses made out of ice in the below-freezing Icebar. Guests can enjoy a complimentary entrance ticket to the IceHotel. The area around the property is popular for outdoor winter activities such as dog sledding, reindeer sled excursions, and snowmobile tours. The staff will also be happy to arrange activities such as river rafting, hiking, and fishing. During summer season, guests will experience midnight sun. In the winter, guests can enjoy northern lights if lucky. The closest airport is Kiruna Airport, 14 km from the property.

"Si bé l'habitació era gran i confortable, el preu de la mateixa el vàrem trobar excessiu pels servies de que disposava l'habitació. També vàrem trobar de preu elevat el servei de bus que ofereixen per fer el transfer de l'hotel a l'aeroport. Tenen un sistema de guardar les maletes en cas que arribis abans de les 3 de la tarda, hora que pots entrar a l'habitació, que genera certa desconfiança tenint en compte la gran quantitat de persones que visiten part de les instal·lacions de l'hotel."

"All felt very impersonal and over processes. No heart in the visit and all over commercialised now. Rather a victim of its own success. There are MANY rooms and loads of people staying and there was no real atmosphere of fun or excitement generated. The Ice Bar was a complete letdown!"

"We stayed in a cabin, and it was perfect. It had everything we needed—cutlery, a mini kitchen, and a toilet. There’s only cold water in the cabin, but we used the public kitchen to wash the dishes. Since it was slightly off-season, there were very few guests at the campsite, which made it nice and quiet. We chose this campsite because all reasonably priced hotels in Gothenburg were fully booked, and it was conveniently located on our way from Copenhagen."
