"Our stay at Villa Mar Azul was excellent. The accommodation was extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean, and very quiet, perfect for a relaxing break. The staff were welcoming, friendly, and efficient, making us feel right at home. Although the property is about 1.4 miles from the city centre, we really enjoyed the peaceful surroundings, and it’s only a pleasant 10 minute stroll to the beach. Overall, an excellent experience and we look forward to staying here again."

"The housekeeping staff are excellent. the equipment level is great in the kitchen. The brilliant beach is a 5 minute walk away with two lovely restaurants, We loved the one to the left and ate there three nights. We would stay here again quite happily. We used uber to get around."

The room also had a private outdoor area — a perfect spot to enjoy breakfast in the morning. The location is excellent, just a short distance from both the historic center of Lagos and the beach. For those renting a car to explore the Algarve, the hotel’s parking facilities are a huge plus. There is honestly nothing negative to mention. Everything was perfect, and I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lagos."

"Their main office is on a different site but you can call. However, It would be nice to know that beforehand. We wanted to extend our stay, spoke to customer service and agreed the extension and were told we can go anytime before our check-out time to make the payment. We then got a call in the morning just and were told that they had not secured the booking and someone else has also booked the accommodation and had to leave. This meant that we had to change our activities, find alternative accommodation which cost us double the amount as it was for the same day etc. They also offered us to move to another property on another site which cost significantly more. That ruined a good stay and left us really disappointed and"

The great location, the proximity to the beach, just a short walk away, spacious room with high ceilings and a large, comfortable bathroom, charming character made for a very pleasant stay overall."

"There was a persistent background noise from the phone and fridge, which affected our rest. The kitchen was well-equipped with utensils and cabinetry, but lacked essentials such as coffee or basic spices for a short stay. Parking was supposed to be reserved for hotel guests, but it was always full, and we had to park outside the property."

"We spent a week here and it was perfect. The room was so nice, and we loved having the little balcony. Easy walk to a beautiful beach. We liked that it was out of town a little. It took us about 25 minutes to walk to Old Town, so it was a very quiet area. Lovely little coffee shop about 2-3 minute walk away and supermarket about 15 mins. Staff were exceptional."

"The villa is not really walking distance to Lagos. Uber is only £4.50 so not an issue. However, the nearest shop is about a 20mins walk so getting supplies has to be planned out."
