"La piscina té una coberta però estava oberta, cosa que impedia el seu ús ara que fa fred, i és una llàstima. Estaria bé posar una estoreta per quan entres a l’habitació des de la terrasseta, per no mullar tot el terra. L’endoll no funcionava i per carregar el mòbil vaig haver de desendollar la TV."

"Nice location in Camara do Lobos, close to Funchal yet much quieter and more authentic area, offering many options for shopping or dining (a big supermarked 2 min walking distance). Hotel is charming, comfortable, it has an elegant main building, nice and big garden, own parking, pool, good restaurant. Amazing views. Great base for exploring Madeira as it is close to main roads. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast was OK, but could be better. There was always good fresh bread, basic choices of cheese, ham, vegetable and fruit, some warm choices (fried eggs, sausages, beans, scrambled eggs, bacon), yoghurt, sweets and pastry. Our room was clean, big enough, large beds, small fridge, nice view from the balcony."

"The hotel is older, and needs to be maintained better. Not good Wi-Fi. Breakfast could be better, like more choices, better warm options, better quality of meat and cheese products. Juices were from syrup, probably from the closest supermarked, and the coffee from machine wasn't drinkable at all. Tea was excellent. The cocktail bar/library were closed during our stay"

"I stayed there for two nights. I really like the hotel vibe. It's not a big resort but not small either. It's located close to Funchal yet the area is quite and offers many options for shopping or dining (got to know it's famous especially for Espetada :)) There is a parking spot for guests. Breakfasts were varied and delicious. The staff friendly and helpful. You can enjoy sauna and pool even out of the peak season but unluckily I didnt have a time to try it. It's perfect place for those who look for a place close to Funchal with a cozy vibe."

"The hotel is not new as many reviews mention but that certainly wasn't an issue for me. I liked the vibe of that place. I might only consider this location without own vehicle (never tried to reach it via public transportion)."

"Family owned style / approach of staff and atmosphere; incredibly friendly and attentive staff team across all areas - they were gracious and super helpful with my basic Portuguese attempts and questions; very clean bedroom and bathroom; yes, older decor style as some reviews state, but very well looked after and maintained and immaculately clean; a quieter hotel with lovely grounds with bonus cat mum and her 3 beautiful and playful kittens; delicious and all you need breakfast; lovely terrace to use for breakfast; poolside bar if fancy a cocktail; great views from the hotel terrace and bedroom balcony - particularly if you don’t wish to be in the mad tourism of Funchal; local facilities and on-site parking easy."

"We enjoyed the cool pool - post peak season - but end of September/early October it would have been even better to have it slightly heated 😀. Unusual and unpleasant smell, we think might have been floor polish or mop."

"The rooms with sea view have a high view to the horizon and in this case to the ocean and ribeira brava. Rooms are big and well equiped. Toilet is ok and bed as well.~ Breakfast was good We stayed only one night ( a couple of hours ), nothing much to say"

"When we went into the room, over the table were 2 glasses and water, and under the glasses it was full of little hunts. We like nature, we went to madeira because of that mostly, but when we get an expensive room on a 4* hotel we don't expect to have hunts over your breakfast table inside the room ( not even in africa, ahah )."

"Excellent value for money. Room in third floor was very nice and had a beatiful balcony with a view of the sea. Shower worked well. Breakfast is OK. Amazing terrace with stunning view and wonderful garden. Staff was excellent. The location is perfect, as it is not in Funchal which can be quite busy, but not too far away, and also it is right next to a big supermarket, a farmacy, and a couple of traditional restaurants that were very good (I recommend "A Ginja" which is two blocks away)."

"The coffee in the breakfast could be better. You can tell that the hotel has seen better days and it requires some maintenance, but that has not reduced the quality and comfort of my stay at all, it is just an aesthetic thing. The air conditioner in the room was a little bit noisy."
