"The accommodation was fantastic, the hotel is the same as in the photos, the facilities are old. The view from the room is amazing on the Douro River and the vineyards. The staff took care of us, the breakfast was good. But the road to the hotel is difficult, narrow roads and winding:) The trip to Pinhao and the boat ride on the Douro River were beautiful."

"Absolutely fabulous views! The room was huge and very comfortable and with great views. The quinta itself was fabulous with some eclectic art and furnishings but it all added to the experience. Breakfast was great and the evening meals with fellow guests always enjoyable. We looked at the prices at other quintas and this was extremely reasonable by comparison."

"Our bed was very hard (although to be fair we should have said earlier and Besu the manager said he would have done something about it). We thought the evening meals at 40 Euro each (albeit with wine to be fair) was a tad expensive."

"This is a very beautiful property with lovely furnishings - very comfortable and a real pleasure to stay there. It is located on a spectacular site overlooking the Douro. This must be one of the best views in the whole area. We arranged for dinner on the day we arrived and this excellent. Our host was very helpful at all times."

"There was nothing that we didn't like. We do suggest that the hotel might stock a few more port wines for that evening apero. Visitors should also be aware that the drive to Pinhao is about 30 minutes: this was not an issue for us, but just bear in mind that staying in this spectacular location means that you are a little distance away from restaurants, shops, etc."

"The property is beautiful and with an amazing view. It is very rustic and charming. The staff is friendly and we’re so kind to my little girl. The rooms are cleaned everyday, the take the trash and put you clean towels. Breakfast is also good."

"Nothing to complain about the property. Only that there is no restaurants with easy access. Only a very very expensive one from a Quinta nearby. The Quinta da Veiga offers dinner for a price if you inform them in advance. It is better to order from them or go to Pinhão for lunch and dinner, but it is a 30m very curvy ride each way."

"Quinta da Vega is awesome!!! The Quinta is perched on the side hill of a winery in the heart of Douro Valley. The Quinta is spacious with many gathering areas,unique furnishings,and spectacular views everywhere. The rooms and beds are comfortable with nice touches and attention to detail making them very cozy. The staff is very attentive, helpful, and courteous and they provide a great breakfast and dinner service. Stay here!"
