"Staff friendly, good breakfast, comfortable beds, good shower, nice pool. Big car park, walkable to restaurants in the village."

"No fridge in room, said shared kitchen, we asked but there wasn't one. No-where to purchase cold or hot drinks, said coffee house on site but there wasn't one. Booking.com needs to amend details. Balcony very disappointing, 2 small metal chairs and no table. Quite a few stairs to rooms which we didn't expect, led to believe room was on ground level."

"Everything was excellent from the friendly welcome to the superb breakfast every moning. Great location for visiting Monsaraz and Alqueva river beaches. The house itself is very interesting , loved the rustic style decor too. Would definitely stay here again."

"This was such an authentic traditional Alentejo stay. Well situated with good restaurants around the corner. Magical view of the medieval town of Monsaraz up on the hilltop. There's a wonderful fluvial (river beach) on the largest manmade lake in Europe, only 6km's from the property. Make time to stargaze. The clarity of the stars at night is magnificent!"

"The house and rooms were spacious and well-kept, with a traditional style. Breakfast has enough variety to keep you satisfied. The staff was always cheerful and lovely. There's a very nice swimming pool, especially useful in the heat of Alentejo. Last but not least, the property (and the room we stayed in) offers a great view of the castle town of Monsaraz. Guests were in general quiet and civilized, this is a great place for relaxing. You will need a car or some other private form of transport to move around the area."

"Authentic Portugese style accommodation, nice place outside (lots of green and cosey) to have breakfast and a nice swimming pool, very good breakfast. Staff was very friendly! Close to Monsaraz and lake Algueva and dark sky tourism."

"The room is a bit dark, but that is because the Portugese like there walls thick and windows small to keep the heat out. Also inside the main area inside is dark. But very authentic and with style. Balcony was a bit small, but then you can go outside enough."
