"Friendly, comfortable, clean, and cozy guesthouse, an ideal starting point for a hike to Pico Ruivo or along a levada. Nathan kindly drove us to the starting point of the levada, and most importantly, before the hike we were served an excellent breakfast for a small extra charge, with pleasant jazz playing during breakfast. "Lovely place in a very quiet area where a good night's sleep is guaranteed. The bed was comfortable and the common areas were clean. The hosts were very nice and it was great that the parking spots in front of the building were on levelled ground and not uphill. Beautiful garden behind the building."
"The bathroom was quite small and the window of our room was looking out at the backside so we didn't have a view unfortunately. The shared kitchen only had one induction plate and didn't have a lot of pots/pans/knives so guests occasionally had to wait their turn to cook."
"Great remote location with a beautiful garden. There was a place to park the car. There is a kitchen downstairs where you can cook something for yourself. There is also a fridge where you can leave your groceries. The young gentleman who checked us in recommended places with beautiful views. We had a rented car so getting to the place was no problem."
"The cleanliness of the bathroom was so-so. There was some dirt and cobwebs on the ceiling. And instead of a duvet cover, you get a sheet and a blanket. For some people, that won't be a problem. But for me, it's like when you're on a train somewhere in a sleeping car."
