"The property is a historic home impeccably kept. The bedroom and bathroom were bigger than some modern apartments! The view over the valley was lovely as was the evening meal and beverages. All in all no complaints and I’ll be back."

"The scenery and tranquility of the property to relax. The pool was at the right temperature to cook us down after a long day sightseeing. The church bell added a charm to remind us that we were in the European countryside."

"Absolutely stunning hotel in a gorgeous setting. Unique and wonderfully romantic. Very calm. The staff are incredibly warm, kind, and welcoming. They serve excellent vegetarian dishes (a rare find in the area). The pool is on another level: relaxing atmosphere, breathtaking views, and comfortable loungers. It felt like staying in a luxurious place far above my budget, yet surprisingly affordable."

"You’ll need a car to get around, as there’s only one restaurant nearby. Everything else is beyond walking distance."

"The house and its surroundings are beautiful. It is situated in a small villate up on a mountain side, and the view down towards the Douro river valley is incredible. Having good breakfasts and dinners in the garden of the hotel was very nice. The staff was kind. The pool area was great."

"This place was love at first sight. The house is situated above the valley, providing beautiful views which you can watch from directly from the pool, during sunset. The room was a treasure on its own, with historic furniture, accessories and picturesque bathroom. The owners and stuff is lovely, making sure you have everything you need. Overall - deliciously romantic vibe, perfect if you want to just slow down, relax, enjoy the village silence and if you look for a unique experience. Would visit again."
