"Our room was basic, but functional and clean - excellent considering the price point. The bathroom was also quite spacious and the hot shower works fine. The owner was very hospitable, and offered us coffee or tea when we arrived early, as well as every morning. We also appreciated being allowed to check in early after arriving in Abancay on an overnight bus. When we asked whether the hotel could call a taxi for us (to get to Ampay National Sactuary), the owner even went down to the street to flag down a taxi for us. The hotel is located in what seems like a commercial district with lots of shops around. There is a market nearby (Mercado De Productos De Americas), and a smattering of eateries and street food vendors along/near the main road (Carretera Longitudinal de la Sierra Sur). It was straightforward to walk to the main plaza (Plaza de Armas); we also walked to/from the bus terminal (~15-20 mins)."
"There isn't a fan in the room, so it might get stuffy if the weather gets warm. The WiFi is very weak from our room on the third floor, but not a big problem for a short stay."

"The hosts are very kind and quick to answer via message or help in person. One day I forgot my keys and was locked in between my room and the front door. Even though I had no phone I managed to contact them and they came immediately to rescue me. The location is outstanding. The beach is immediately in front of the door and you hear the beautiful sound of the ocean all day. Groceries can be done by foot or Motortaxi as well as ATMs. The only accomodation that is not overpriced in Zorritos!"

"La Cabaña de Huerta Mar es un ambiente acogedor que brinda calidez y calma. Los anfitriones son personas muy amables y atentas a cualquier necesidad. Cuentan con una huerta adorable y unos acompañantes de cuatro patas cariñosos. Los techos elevados de la casa hacen que se mantenga el ambiente lo suficientemente fresco a comparación de la sensación térmica que se percibe al exterior. Considero que es un ambiente excepcional para quienes buscan un refugio hogareño y calmado. Linda experiencia :)"

"The pool was pristine, very well looked after and warm! Staff were friendly, we were the only guests for most of our stay because of it being rainy season and just outside of carnival time when it was fully booked. There are a number of animals (dog, cats etc.) which are also very keen to get to know you! It's right on the beach and while you can't enter the sea as it's very choppy, it's nice to walk along. You can also sit on covered seats on the beach and watch the sun go down. Food didn't make us ill which is always a bonus. Bed was massive and shower was really powerful."
