"A really lovely stay in Ollantaytambo. I was in the king room at the top and it was by far the best. Very private, beautiful views over the town and surrounding mountains, and spacious. You just have to be willing to climb up the stairs (It’s about three flights but I struggled a little bit on my first day because of the altitude). There is a beautiful private terrace to sit and enjoy the view. The Wi-Fi worked well, the shower was low pressure but a nice temperature, and the staff were lovely and very helpful. They didn’t speak much English but were very patient with my broken Spanish. Rooms were cleaned and beds made daily. Breakfast was simple but fresh, with avocado, fresh orange juice, tea and coffee, a little bit of fruit, some bread, and the possibility of cooked eggs. They even made me a lovely packed lunch for the morning I caught an early train to Machu Picchu. It was on a busy road but was an easy walk into town. About five minutes from the main square."

"La Cabaña de Huerta Mar es un ambiente acogedor que brinda calidez y calma. Los anfitriones son personas muy amables y atentas a cualquier necesidad. Cuentan con una huerta adorable y unos acompañantes de cuatro patas cariñosos. Los techos elevados de la casa hacen que se mantenga el ambiente lo suficientemente fresco a comparación de la sensación térmica que se percibe al exterior. "The pool was pristine, very well looked after and warm! Staff were friendly, we were the only guests for most of our stay because of it being rainy season and just outside of carnival time when it was fully booked. There are a number of animals (dog, cats etc.) which are also very keen to get to know you! It's right on the beach and while you can't enter the sea as it's very choppy, it's nice to walk along. You can also sit on covered seats on the beach and watch the sun go down. Food didn't make us ill which is always a bonus. Bed was massive and shower was really powerful."

"The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The restaurant is excellent and the staff very helpful. There is secure parking (gate in front is closed at night). The downtown shops and markets are a short walk from the hotel. The hotel is easy to find on the main road on the north side of town. There appeared to be a drinks bar on the property but not integrated with the hotel or restaurant."
