Mirage Desert Camp

"Staff was amazing. Tent is lovely and clean, bed comfy and shower has a lovely star view. This camp is middle of the desert which makes it perfect peaceful place to stay. You need to book a transfer because it's difficult to find. We bought dinner and breakfast and we really enjoyed, recommend. We also booked dune bashing, surfing and camel riding. Oh boy we had fun. Amazing place."

"Amazing location and really nice host! We drove with our own car, and a car from the camp lead our way - easy and cool to drive a bit in the desert (4x4 needed) yourself. The place is clean and has everything. We didn't do any of the many offered experiences and were very happy that no one pushed us - sometimes dunes and stars is all you need."

"Small "hidden" camp, only few tents, feels private. During our stay we were the only one 🙂 Sadam is very polite host, cooked delicious dinner for us. Bed super comfortable."

"We arranged the pickup and drop off which was very convenient. The dinner and breakfast provided (at additional cost pp) by Sadam was very good. The place is a bit more secluded than the other camps which really adds to the charm. Sadam was a nice host, maybe there was a bit of a language barrier but he really provided a nice touch to the whole experience. The bed is super comfortable and thz outdoor shower a huge plus."

"nice place in the desert out of other camps hiden behind a dune. it is a little problem to find it in the desert, /missing any marks and nobody in the camp when we arrived // , better to call or ask local. Advantage is more privat place just 3 tents out of other camps."

"The location was great, further away in the desert and there were just few camps around. The tents are private, located further away from each other. The bed was also comfortable and everything was clean. The host Saddam was very kind and wellcoming, we spent a lot of time talking both in the evening and in the morning. Be aware in colder nights you need to wear warm clothes"

"We really enjoyed our stay – the camp is situated further into the desert than many others. It feels relatively secluded and there are only 3 tents in total. Saddam was a superb host - he cooked, entertained us and was incredibly kind."

"The only thing we were unclear on when booking was extra charges, which weren't displayed on the listing. For reference, in Jan '26 it was 12 riyals for a 4x4 pickup from Bidiyah. Breakfast was 4 riyals pp and Dinner was 6 riyals pp."

"Fantastic hospitality from our new friend Sadaam. He cooked a delicious meal and tasty tea and was great company for the evening - this really made our stay memorable. The room was spacious and clean and warm even against the tough winds. Private bathroom attached to the room was well maintained. The room felt modern with remote controlled lighting in a fabric tent with a really comfortable bed. We went to the Bedouin house in the morning which was nice enough, made special by the sight of baby camels! The location was off the beaten track so you had a feeling of being really in the desert! Highly recommend."
