"what an amazing retreat for our extended family with pets! we stayed there for two nights, really enjoyed the quiet forest and farm, with the pleasing bird chirping outside our windows. Well-equipped rooms and comfy beds; sheep and alpaca feeding was absolutely a bonus!"

"Great location in a quiet area with beautiful views. Our room had everything needed for a comfortable stay and we had a good breakfast in the morning. Feeding Thomas and Donald the alpacas and the sheep before we left was a lovely bonus. Only around ten minutes drive into the town to see the lovely old buildings of Dunedin and a further few minutes to the beautiful Otago peninsula."

"The location was quiet and restful and well signposted. Lots of info made available and easy self checkin. Other guests shared the common lounge and kitchen, and were easy to get along with. The accommodation had a wonderful kitchen, with all breakfast makings so you could start your day well. Host John was polite and friendly. Slept well in comfortable bed."

"Loved everything! Immaculately clean. The sofas in the lounge were exceptionally clean too, as were carpets, bedding etc. We were upgraded (room 4) and included a very large lounge area, with TV, Netflix etc. We chose the complimentary continental breakfast but you could have bacon/eggs etc for a very little extra charge. There was a ‘guest’ kitchen for us to help ourselves to beer, soft drinks etc for such a low cost (beer NZ$5, soft drinks NZ$3). There may have been other drinks but didn’t ask. The view was outstanding too. We were able to feed the alpaca and sheep at 9 am which was amazing to do. We had such an amazing stay. What a find! You could also sit outside your room which was a sun trap in the early evening."
