"Antoinette our host was welcoming and friendly, it was like we had gone to a friends to stay. Piaam state is a beautiful location and the accomodation was perfect for our family of 4 and dog. The appartment had everything we needed. The added bonus of a heated pool and great weather just added to the experience. I cannot think of anywhere else I have been where I have had such value for money. We have been home 3 days and are really missing Piaam. We will definatley be back in future. Piaam was also a great base as we explored Friesland, we saw most of the big cities. I would also recommend hiring a sloop as it was great fun."

"I stayed for 5 nights at Antoinette's place during a bike tour. It was excellent! The location is perfect for cycling near the Ijsselmeer, getting to the beak in Makkum, or just relaxing in the countryside. Breakfast was great, with lots of fruit. The room as well as the whole locale was exceptional, very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Antoinette was also helpful and made me feel right at home. Will definately come back :-)"

"We were met on arrival by our host who explained the facilities available, ie use of kitchen, tea & coffee, pool & outside seating. She kindly provided water & drinks for our first night. Our room in the eaves was large, clean & bright with characterful central beams. Lovely views from the sloping windows. A substantial buffet breakfast with an excellent choice of fresh fruit as well as cooked meats, cheeses & boiled eggs. Great location just 1.5km from the town of Makkum where there are several shops & restaurants. Also a little further to the marina & beach. Secure parking."
