Ponta Mar Resort

"Its a fantastic hotel for a family group, it has a family sized swimming pool in the courtyard, where you can also have drinks and a light meal. The location is central, not far from downtown, but the hourly shuttle bus to the Waterfront Mall and Shopping area makes everything verybsafe and easy. At arrival we had a particularly good reception and despite arriving at 9.30 am we had a room with a good view by 10.15 and were helped throughout by Veronica who was professional, friendly and above all had our comfort foremost in her mind. The little things like sweets in the lobby every afternoon at 4pm and a very decent and varied brunch at a reasonable price were another plus."

"If you want to to do training laps in the pool its not that big. Its got a deep end and a good shallow end though for smaller kids. The gym is a bit limited in choice of equipment so at busy times can't do all that much.8"

"Ponta Mar is a wonderfully situated resort in Mozambique. It is close to famous restaurants and bars. Easy beach access and lovely views from our room was a huge bonus. The staff is friendly and accommodating. We asked for the two single beds in our unit to be switched to a second double bed and they had no problem with our request. The unit was cleaned properly on a daily basis and we got fresh towels. The pool is clean and we enjoyed swimming every day."

"My complaints are very minor and did not influence our stay at all. We just really missed a decent kitchen sink in our unit or on the property as it is not very pleasant to rinse dishes in a bathroom. If you are more than two people, it is advisable to bring your own cutlery and plates since the minimum is provided. The resort restaurant’s food is amazing but we did notice that a lot of the menu items were not in stock. Our visit was out of season so I am not sure if they only cater for peak seasons."

"The location is absolutely marvellous! Every thing you need is walking distance. Its super clean and even though there is no formal kitchen if you go prepared not even that is an issue. We had a wonderful time!"

"The door to the bathroom worked just "one way" once you closed the door somebody had to open it for you to set you free. Wifi stoped working after a day."
