Having visited the island before, if we were to recommend just one place to stay in Dhigurah, it would undoubtedly be Sunwave. We had a wonderful time and genuinely felt better looked after than we have been in some five-star resorts. Breakfast was plentiful and nourishing, the rooms were spotless, and all the appliances were modern and in perfect working order. The only disappointment was having to leave Dhigurah – but we very much hope to return one day."

We had some complications with a booking on another island, and he was there every step of the way—guiding us with genuine care and always with a smile. We will definitely be coming back. The energy here is kind, welcoming, and so genuine. I’ve never seen such beautiful people. The island itself is incredible, but Sunwave truly made our stay what it was. From organising our tours to the outstanding hospitality, they go above and beyond in every way. I felt safe, looked after, and happy at all times. Highly recommend. 10/10"

"The property was brand new and good hotel quality, very comfortable. The highlight was Mohammed, who from the very first smile and wave as we hopped off the speedboat gave very friendly service (best we had during our 3 weeks in the Maldives). We had dinner a few nights there as well which was delicious and reasonably priced. Location is good - a short walk to the bikini beach but feels less touristy that way, and is very close to the jetty. Would definitely stay there again!"

The food at the hotel was excellent — dinner with freshly prepared fish every day was a real highlight. We felt very comfortable and would happily return again!"
